The animals take over

August 20, 2007: This has definitely been an “up” year for the animal population. There are far more deer, bear, skunks, racoons, chipmonks, squirrels and even mice! Our neighbours went to town and left their property vacant for just an hour on Saturday .. they came back to find a scene from a Disney movie. A deer was enjoying the flowers from their planters, the geese were grazing (and you know what else) all over their lawn and the chipmonks and the squirrels had taken over what was left of the lawn! Its always great seeing the wildlife but, sometimes hard to control what they do and where .. we really want our pretty flower beds to be left to enjoy but, the deer have different ideas.
