Family Christmas in November

This may not really have a lot to do with nature but, it seemed like the best category given how wonderful the weather was on the weekend. Every November since moving here Don & I have hosted a gathering for my family on a weekend in November because we are unable to travel to London to see them at Christmas. This year everyone who came was treated to both snow and unseasonably warm termperatures .. what a mix. Yes, Friday we woke up to 2″ of snow and my nephew built a wonderful snowman. By noon the snowman had melted away and the warm weather replaced the cold. On Saturday we had a 2 hour work period that was pretty cool .. everyone gave us some free labour and formed a “chain gang” to split and stack the mountains of wood we needed to prepare for the winter season.
