Searching For A Muskoka Cottage Rental?

Why not try a cottage holiday in Haliburton this year ... it has everything Muskoka has and more!!

The Haliburton Highlands is a Natural Work of Art! Just a 2 hour drive from Toronto.

Haliburton Is Just East Of The Muskoka Cottages

Haliburton County is the tourist district immediately to the east of the Muskoka area.... take a picture in either Haliburton or Muskoka and you wouldn’t be able to tell which tourist area you were in by the topography of the area ... they are essentially the same. Haliburton and Muskoka both reside at the same latitude, with the 45th parallel passing through the middle of their land mass and both reside on the Canadian Shield ... making for an incredible mixture of rock, land and water.

The Haliburton Highlands retains a more rural, less densely populated flavour than the Muskoka Lakes, due to the fact

that there are 1/3rd of the number of permanent residents spread out over an almost identical area of land.

Haliburton County’s Pristine Landscape

Unlike resorts in Muskoka, the Haliburton cottage landscape is spotted with numerous, pristine, glacial lakes and rivers. It seems that around every bend in the road a new "landscape picture" appears ... hence, the County’s tagline of "A natural work of art". In addition to the natural artistic flavour Haliburton has developed a reputation for being the home of many artists, whose residence are spotted throughout the community. The region is proud to be the home of the Fleming College School of the Arts, with its new campus building located in Glebe Park amidst the Sculpture Forest.
