Pet Policy


We welcome your leashed pets, in designated cottages, to Willow Beach Cottages in the spring, fall and winter months. You are welcome to cuddle up in front of the fire with your best friend but, we do ask that you abide by the rules below to ensure that the comfort of our other guests is not impaired. Pets are now being allowed in the last week in June and last week of August on a trial basis. Cost for pets is $10 per day or $50 per week. Maximum of 2 pets per cottage.

Pets allowed cottage in Ontario

We are happy to welcome Tuxedo (Tux) to our family. Tux is not always with us as he is Lisa's puppy and lives with her in Peterborough. However, he is here frequently and helps to fill the void left by Roxy and Keesha's deaths.

Pets allowed resort in Ontario

Summer:

Unfortunately we do not accept pets in July and August, with the exception of the last week of August. With the resort full of small children, who do not necessarily know how to interact with someone else's pet, the chance of a problem occurring is simply too great. Pets are now being allowed in the last week in June and last week of August on a trial basis

Spring, Fall, Winter:

Leashed pets are welcome in designated cottages only. It is essential that you request a pet designated cottage at the time of booking as we cannot allow pets in our pet free cottages (kept for guests who have pet related allergies).

Pet rules:

  • Pets must be leashed at all times while on property
  • Dogs are permitted to swim in docking or quiet sitting area of property but, not sandy beach area. They must be leashed as soon as they exit the water.
  • Please clean up after your pet for the safety and comfort of all other guests.
  • Please ensure that your pet is not making noise that will impair the comfort and enjoyment of other guests.
  • Any damage or extra cleaning required is subject to additional charge.
